- Comments Off on New OPL runtime for Nokia 9300/9500 released
Even though you probably read it in another forum already, I’m still proud to announce the release of version 1.55 of the OPL runtime for Nokia Communicators here as well.
Version 1.55 of OPL is released first for the Nokia 9300/9500 Communicators and provides a large number of bugfixes and a number of functionality enhancements, making it just as mature as the Nokia 92xx release.
Starting with version 1.55 there are now two flavors of developer packages: the full developer package, suitable for OPL development on the PC and on the device itself, and the mini developer package, which only contains the files needed to do OPL development on the device.
The 9300/9500 release now fixes almost all known problems in the runtime. Most importantly, all redraw problems with status bar (now appears correctly), dialogs (automatic scrollbars work again) and the CBA-area (no more white flash and always displayed correctly) are gone now. It also introduces a new command (gPIXEL) which allows you to get the RGB value of a pixel in the current drawable and extends the LOC command with an optional third parameter that allows you to specify how the search should take place (case sensitive or case insensitive).
